Cardi B breaks down her speech at Kamala Harris rally
‘WAP’ emcee Cardi B recently opened up about her experience speaking at a Democratic rally before Kamala Harris. In her recent video, she admitted that the opportunity meant a lot to her, and during her Milwaukee speech on November 1st, Cardi unveiled that she really doesn’t want another Donald Trump presidency.
The Bronx native officially unveiled that she is supporting the Democrat’s Harris-Walz ticket, and during the rally she delivered passionate speech. Afterwards, the Invasion Of Privacy creator took to Instagram to post photos of the event and delved into her emotions about the November 5th election.
Cardi’s post was captioned: “Last night was a moment I feel like I’ve been waiting for my whole life,” she wrote. “If you know me, you know I’m the biggest history nerd, and I’ve been talking about politics on all my platforms for a long, long time, so this was a dream come true. I’m so glad that I got to meet and learn so much from VP Kamala Harris.”
She continued: “We have to make a change on Tuesday and I know she’s the one to take us there… AND YES!.. I wrote my speech down because I had to make sure I said everything I wanted to say honey!! I’m sooo proud of myself you don’t even know….and No I ain’t get paid a dollar ..I actually came out of pocket wit glam and travel.”
Prior to Kamala Harris entering the presidential race, Cardi B was extremely opposed to both candidates and, despite interviewing Joe Biden in 2020, the ‘Bongos’ rhymer unveiled that she was extremely disappointed with him in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Outlining her political position while speaking about Trump and Biden, she detailed, “I don’t fuck with both of y’all n*ggas.” When asked about Biden’s presidency, she admitted it has left her feeling “layers and layers of disappointment.”
She began, “I feel like people got betrayed. It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody. Then, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any fucking thing.”
Cardi went on to criticize government spending in Ukraine and Israel, remarking, “[America] don’t pay for endless wars for countries that have been going through shit for a very long time. There’s countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [US] won’t benefit from that country, they won’t help.”
