A 63-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to crashing into the gates of Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s home.

Keith Jonathan Webster was charged with criminal mischief and misdemeanour criminal trespass following the incident last week.

However, according to ABC News, Webster has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to return to court on July 29th.

He was hit with a temporary restraining order, stopping him from interacting with the couple or going near their property.

Webster is accused of driving a Subaru into Jay and Bey’s home on July 15th, causing $1,500 worth of damage.

The security guard, who was working at the Hamptons, New York, home at the time, said that the incident occurred at around 12:50pm. He stated that he saw a “a green coloured vehicle approaching the gate, travelling at a high rate of speed.”

The guard continued, “I watched the car strike the gate and continued to drive on the property. I called for my partner … and I ran out the security office door, up the driveway and down to where the car had come to a stop.”

He said that the driver “exited the vehicle without any issue and we placed him on the ground,” and was detained by the private security team until East Hampton Village Police arrived at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Jennifer Dunn said the man “has no criminal history, and he seemed confused at the scene and after the arrest. He did not make any threats or mention names of the residents. It could just be chance he picked that house if he was having a medical issue.”

She added that there were “no weapons found, no notes found, no direct threats made and no direct mention of residents of the house, so we are not sure he even knew who lived in that house at this point.”
