Rapper BossMan Dlow allegedly arrested by Florida police
A new video circulated on social media appears to show the Tallahassee rapper BossMan Dlow being detained and arrested by police in Florida. In the video, shared on social medua, an individual resembling rising rap star BossMan Dlow is seen handcuffed and put in the back of a car by authorities, yet no information has been released about the arrest.
There is a lot of mystery surrounding the video shared online. For starters, it is unclear whether the person in the video is, in fact, BossMan Dlow. Other than similarities in appearance, the only thing that suggests the person in the video is the ‘Get in with Me’ rapper is the fact that he looks up when the cameraman shouts his name.
Although the video has made the rounds on social media, no official information has been released—either by BossMan Dlow, his team, or the police—confirming that Dlow was actually arrested. As a result, the exact reasons for his potential arrest remain shrouded in mystery.
Some fans have theorised that this video, despite being posted this week, could actually be from Dlow’s recent arrest last month. The rapper had organised a car giveaway in aid of the local population in Florida, but the event was shut down due to a lack of permits or permission granted to Dlow. It is not yet known whether the new video shared on social media is simply another angle of that previous arrest.
This is certainly not the first time BossMan Dlow has come on the wrong side of the law in Florida. In fact, he first began his hip-hop career back in 2019, while serving time in county jail for drug possession and distribution charges. This lengthy sentence meant Dlow was imprisoned for much of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Reflecting on the experience of being incarcerated during a global pandemic, the rapper shared, “Everybody sick and shit,” while talking to Bootleg Kev earlier this year. “They’re like, ‘Oh, this covid.’ Bitches dying, 100, 200 thousand. Damn, what the fuck? I’m in here trippin’ like.” It was only after his release from jail that Dlow began to rise through the ranks of the local hip-hop scene in Florida.
At the time of writing, neither BossMan Dlow nor the police have released any official statement pertaining to the viral video seemingly showing Dlow’s arrest. The likelihood seems to be that, regardless of whether the video is real or not, the rapper’s team will be able to shed some light on the events in the coming days.
