Blueface arrested in Las Vegas for attempted murder

American rapper Johnathan Jamall Porter, known professionally as Blueface, has been arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of attempted murder.

A TMZ report has detailed that a warrant for the young rapper’s arrest was issued yesterday, and he was subsequently apprehended. It’s reported that the arrest stems from an incident that occurred on October 8th.

A newly released video shows Porter standing with his girlfriend outside a chicken and waffles establishment before undercover officers of the Las Vegas Police Department intervene to take him into custody.

“On November 15th, 2022, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested 25-year-old Johnathan Porter on charges stemming from a shooting that took place on October 8th, 2022, in the 6300 block of Windy Road,” the police statement reads. “Porter was arrested outside a business in the 300 block of Hughes Center Drive. He will be booked into the Clark County Detention Center on warrants for attempted murder with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm at/into an occupied structure.”

As yet, Porter hasn’t made a public statement regarding the incident in October or yesterday’s arrest. However, this isn’t the 25-year-old rapper’s first run-in with the law. Back in November 2018, Porter was charged with shooting at an occupied vehicle. At the time, it was alleged that a “dispute” had broken out between the rapper and another person (not publicly identified) at a California fuel station. He was released on a $69,000 bail.

Just three months later, in February 2019, Porter was once again arrested on a felony charge after he was caught in possession of an unregistered and loaded firearm. Porter’s manager denied his responsibility following the arrest, but once more, in February 2022, Porter was reportedly arrested for possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle and driving on a suspended license.

This is a developing story.
