Big Tigger’s wife arrested in Georgia on Maryland kidnapping warrants
The estranged wife of rapper Big Tigger has been arrested on kidnapping warrants.
Alicia Brown was taken into custody on July 6th, having been arrested without incident during a felony traffic stop in Georgia.
According to TMZ, authorities tracked down Brown in an SUV over kidnapping warrants in Maryland, dating back seven years ago.
Brown was on Interstate 85 at the time, and there were two young children inside the vehicle. One of them was Tigger’s child.
The arrest reportedly stems from the disappearance of a 10-year-old child in 2019, with Brown facing a felony interference with child custody charge. She’s set to be extradited to Maryland.
The news comes just weeks after Tigger was arrested on battery and child cruelty charges. The DJ and television personality was booked into Fulton County Jail on charges of battery, aggravated battery, and third-degree cruelty to children.
Tigger has denied allegations about him assaulting Brown, and recently announced that he was stepping away from work.
“For as long as I’ve been in this industry, my focus has always been to keep the spotlight on the culture and the incredible people I get to interview,” he said in a statement. “But right now, my personal life is in the public eye and has become the subject of overwhelming speculation and misinformation.”
He continued, “Through all of this, what hurts the most is being away from my son. Nothing is more important to me than being a great father. So I’ve decided to step away from the mic for a while to focus on my family and give my legal team the room they need.”
Tigger, who has over 920,000 Instagram followers, is best known for hosting television shows such as Rap City and 106 and Park.
