Beyoncé announces new album ‘Renaissance’

Beyoncé will return to the fray next month with a new project called Renaissance. The singer confirmed the release of her latest album, the follow-up to 2016’s Lemonade, for some time in 2022. In 2018 she released Everything Is Love, for which she teamed up with her husband Jay Z.

News of the album follows Beyoncé’s decision to delete the profile pictures from her official social media accounts in preparation for the next chapter of her solo career. The pop icon recently revealed that Renaissance would be arriving Friday, 29th July, taking to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages to share the news.

Beyoncé’s official profile photos on Spotify, Apple Music and TIDAL have all been replaced with the minimalistic Renaissance artwork.

Last summer, Beyoncé revealed that she was back in the studio working on new music. “I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half,” she said. “Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies.”

She added: “Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”

Beyoncé’s latest offering was her 2021 single ‘Be Alive’, which features on the soundtrack for King Richard starting Will Smith. Her forthcoming album – her seventh full-length solo effort – is certainly one to watch out for.
