Baby Keem brings out Kendrick Lamar at London headline show

Following his dazzling Glastonbury 2022 set, Kendrick Lamar has joined Baby Keem live onstage in London. The pair performed ‘Family Ties’ and ‘Vent’ from 2021’s The Melodic Blue album at Keem’s Brixton show this week. According to Setlist.fm, Baby Keem also debuted a previously unheard single.

Lamar’s recent Glastonbury set certainly wowed audiences. The rapper took to the stage wearing a diamond-encrusted crown of thorns. According to reports, the piece featured 8,000 individual cobblestone micro pavé diamonds. I’ll take that over a bucket hat any day.

According to Vogue, the crown was crafted over ten months by Lamar, longtime creative collaborator Dave Free, and Tiffany & Co. Of the glimmering creation, Free said: “The crown is a godly representation of hood philosophies told from a digestible youthful lens.”

Prior to his Glastonbury set, Lamar performed a selection of tracks at Paris Fashion week, where the rapper helped to launch Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Spring-Summer 2023 Show selection.

Lamar also used his Glastonbury set to address the recently revoked Roe v Wade ruling. He concluded the set by chanting “Godspeed for women’s rights.” Lamar wasn’t the only one to use his platform to address the issue of abortion rights. In an outcry for women’s rights, Friday’s headliner Billie Eilish called it “a really really dark day for women.”

Lamar is set to take his The Big Steppers world tour to the UK and Ireland in November, with Baby Keem and Tanne Leone providing support for the huge live dates. You can check out fan footage of Baby Keem and Kendrick’s Brixton performance below.
