Azealia Banks suggests Nicki Minaj is jealous of Megan Thee Stallion

As controversial as she is, Azealia Banks is a highly talented musician and intriguing figure within the music industry. The Harlem musician is unfiltered when sharing her opinion and will always speak her mind regardless of whether it offends people.

That said, as a female emcee, many in the culture were keen for her to weigh in on the ongoing feud between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj. The ‘212’ musician previously sided with Minaj when Cardi B exploded onto the scene. However, now it appears she has little sympathy for the Pink Friday creator.

Taking to Instagram, Banks asserted that Minaj is jealous of Megan Thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete) because she has the co-sign of Jay-Z. Furthermore, Banks suggested that Nicki is currently exposed and has no protection from her former allies, Lil Wayne and Drake.

In 2019, Pete signed a management deal with Jay-Z’s company, Roc Nation. However, Banks believes that even before this, Minaj desperately searched for a stamp of approval from Jay-Z.

During her lengthy Instagram Live, the ‘Van Vogue’ rapper explained, “Nicki is just mad because she wants to be a Roc Nation girl. There’s no Wayne around. There’s no Drake. She feels really vulnerable. She wants the protection of a Roc Nation. She wants the organisation and the prestige.”

She continued, “It’s pretty clear that Nicki’s fucked up. Like she’s fucked up financially. I’m not going around trying to menace other artists and call them broke and tell them to pay their rent and all that other shit like that. [But] you can tell.”

Following the release of her diss track ‘Big Foot,’ in a Twitter space with Joe Budden, Minaj insisted that Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, which manages Megan, is paying people to bad-mouth her on social media and employing bots to promote Megan’s single ‘Hiss.’

Nicki Minaj’s Instagram rant, which continued in Joe Budden’s Twitter space, has caused many to question the lyricist’s mental health. Furthermore, the conduct of her fanbase, who leaked the cemetery address where Pete’s mother is buried, has caused grave concern.
