
Atlanta man accused of killing Big Boi’s uncle denied bail for second time
The man accused of killing the uncle of Big Boi has been denied bail once again.
62-year-old Remoin Patton was found dead in Atlanta in June 2025 following a road rage incident.
Jabyrion Crumbley, 19, allegedly shot and killed Patton and has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
According to Atlanta News First, Crumbley was denied bail for a second time on April 21st. His mother, 32-year-old Janisha, was also charged with hindering the apprehension of a felon and appeared in the courtroom after allegedly tampering with her electronic monitoring device.
Both Jabyrion and Janisha will appear in Fulton County Superior Court again on June 29th.
Patton was killed on the 200 block of Joseph E Lowery Boulevard NW at around 5:35pm on June 26th, suffering a gunshot wound to the back.
Police claimed that Patton had a verbal exchange with another driver when he tried to make a turn, resulting in him being shot and crashing into an empty home.
Crumbley turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail on July 2nd, with his mother arrested during a traffic stop on June 20th.
A police statement read at the time, “Investigators with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.”
Paying tribute to his uncle, Big Boi said, “Everybody who knows Uncle Moonie heart aches. He wasn’t just ‘My’ Uncle, he was Unk to all that met him. A moment of rage has in totally pierced the heart of my family forever. May Uncle Moonie’s soul rest in peace.”
