A$AP Rocky seemingly disses Drake on ‘Stole Ya Flow’
A$AP Rocky has appeared to take shots at Drake on a new song called ‘Stole Ya Flow’.
The Harlem rapper released his long-awaited album, Don’t Be Dumb, on January 16th. The project includes the Kelvin Krash, ICYTWAT, and Danny Elfman-produced ‘Stole Ya Flow’, which is seemingly littered with Drake disses.
In the chorus of the song, he raps, “First you stole my flow, so I stole yo’ bitch.” This line appears to reference Drake’s previous relationship with Rihanna, with whom Rocky shares three children.
Later in the track, Rocky spits, “N*ggas gettin’ BBLs, lucky we don’t body shame/ Throwin’ dirt on Rocky name, turn around and copy game.” The BBL mention refers to rumours about Drake having cosmetic surgery, which Metro Boomin joked about with his own diss song, ‘BBL Drizzy’.
Seemingly hoping Drake takes it to heart, he raps, “If you stole my style, I need at least like ten percent/ With all due disrespect, I hope you take offence/ I’ma leave my print and I won’t leave you.”
Drake is well-known for being emotional in his lyrics, with Rocky noting that in another line. “You just a sensitive n*gga, still in his feelings,” he says. “You bit the image, my n*gga, I had to switch it.”
Rocky previously had a healthy relationship with Drake, with the Toronto rapper bringing him on his Club Paradise Tour in 2012. They also collaborated on ‘F**kin’ Problems’ on his Long Live A$AP album.
The 37-year-old appears to point this out in another line, claiming he turned into an enemy. “First you was my bro, pussy n*gga switched/ Turned into a opp, fuck his block, he a bitch, boy.”
He also seemingly takes a jab at Drake for hiding the fact that he had a son before Pusha T exposed him on his 2018 diss track, ‘The Story of Adidon’.
Rocky raps, “Might pull up to yo’ crib, spin it like the rent, uh/ Spend it like the time that you ain’t spendin’ with yo’ kids.”
