Rihanna gives birth to third child with A$AP Rocky
Rihanna has given birth to her first daughter with A$AP Rocky. Their third child is named Rocki and was born on September 13th.
The baby is named after her father’s stage name, but instead swaps the final letters. He was nicknamed Rocky before making it his musical persona.
Taking to Instagram on September 24th, RiRi shared a photo of herself cradling Rocki. She wrote in the caption, “Rocki Irish Mayers. Sept 13 2025.”
The couple already have two young children. RZA is three years old (born in May 2022) and Riot is two years old (born in August 2023).
During an interview with Extra in July, Rihanna revealed, “I’ve always wanted a girl, but God knows best, right? And I love my boys.” She also confirmed that her next child would have a name that begins with an “R.”
Rocky also revealed his hopes of having a girl while speaking to Elle. He explained that they had made a joint decision not to find out the baby’s gender.
“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” he said. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know.”
He added, “I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
The couple announced the pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala. At the time, Rocky said, “It feels amazing, and I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy.”
