Arkansas rapper arrested on first-degree murder charges

Arkansas rapper BiC Fizzle has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.

The 23-year-old (real name Jeremiah Edrick Northern) was taken into custody at the Craighead County Detention Center in Jonesboro at midday on July 7th.

According to K8 News, Fizzle was hit with first-degree murder charges in connection with a shooting death that occurred on July 6th.

Police responded to reports of a shooting on the 3500 block of Fairview Drive at around 7:30pm. Fizzle is accused of robbing the victim alongside another man, who is allegedly 20 years old.

Two men in their 20s were victims in the shooting, but it’s clear who was killed.

Fans of Fizzle took to the comments of his YouTube videos to react to the news of his arrest. One person wrote, “This guy locked up in my town rn. Jonesboro Arkansas.” Another fan said, “Why all 1017- gucci guys all end up behind the walls ?” referencing legal troubles for the likes of Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano.

Others wrote, “Bro why did you crash out. You still had it,” and “Bic why u gotta do dumb as shi.”

Fizzle was previously signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 label; he released his 2023 albums, Clark Street Baby and Chosen 1K, on the imprint. He has over 440,000 monthly Spotify listeners and 261,000 followers on Instagram.

The Blytheville rapper is best known for the song ‘Supafly’, a collaboration with BigXthaPlug and Cootie that appeared on the soundtrack for the 2023 movie Fast X.

Some of his other big songs include ‘Turnt Shit’ and ‘Creepin’. Throughout his career, he’s collaborated with many artists, including Quavo, NoCap, Hotboy Wes, Big Scarr, and others.
