An XXXTentacion rarity 'Vice City' is being released on streaming platforms

The late rapper, XXXTentacion‘s estate, has announced that they will re-release the deep cut ‘Vice City’ onto streaming platforms, with the Soundcloud-era song that is a key part of his output.

The song was originally recorded back in 2013 when XXXTentacion was only 15-years-old. The track would later feature on his debut mixtape XXX (Unmastered), which arrived the following year but was never formally released.

‘Vice city’ includes a sample of Laura Mvula, which had stopped the estate from putting the song into the airwaves previously. Now, with the rights signed off by Mvula, the rapper’s track can now be officially released.

The rapper’s estate revealed that ‘Vice City’ is the first of many rarely heard XXXTentacion songs. The statement read: “It is important for us to continue to honour Jah’s legacy, and in that spirit we are planning an exciting 2022. One of our first initiatives is to get as much of X’s music from his earliest days as an artist up on all DSPs.

“We have been working diligently to clear as much of it as possible, and we are excited to announce our first release this Friday with ‘Vice City’ hitting all streaming services for the first time. We will continue to release music as we clear it, and are making sure we do it in a way that stays true to how X released each song originally.”
