Alley Boy’s daughter confirms his death after claiming Atlanta rapper was still alive

The daughter of Atlanta rapper Alley Boy has confirmed his death after initially claiming he was still alive.

The 42-year-old reportedly passed away over the weekend following a battle with kidney failure.

Shortly after his death, his daughter took to social media to claim that the reports about her father’s passing were false.

“My daddy is NOT dead,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “[P]lease stop spreading false information and posting things before you know the truth. [ I] appreciate everyone who’s reached out and checked on me [I] don’t have the strength to respond to everyone but [I’m] so thankful!”

She added, “I LOVE YALL. [P]lease keep me & my family in your prayers’ we really need it!! GOD HAS THE LAST SAY SO.”

However, a couple of hours later, she confirmed Alley Boy’s death and paid tribute to her father across several posts.

“Worst day of my fckin life,” she wrote. “My best friend we act just mfn like that’s why he agreed with everything I did and ever said! MY TWIN. I couldn’t believe I really use to tell him everything just otp talking for hours talking bout everything and everybody. I love you so much baby ill spend the rest of my life missing you man.” She added, “I love my daddy man.”

21 Savage also paid tribute following his death, writing, “The blueprint east Atlanta Legend 41 !!!!!” DJ Scream added, “One of the BEST out the city ever. Hands down. Alley Boy Bless up.”

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), longtime collaborator Gucci Mane wrote, “R.I.P Alleyboy.”

Alley Boy once spoke about his health issues in an interview. “I had been drinking lean for so long, to the point where I could say I was addicted to it,” he said. “And this fucked up my kidney. I got kidney failure from drinking codeine. I was allergic to codeine. I’m allergic to opiates. So it was like I was drinking poison the whole time and didn’t know.”
