A$AP Rocky releases his new single 'Riot (Rowdy Pipe'n)'

It has been a long time since fans of A$AP Rocky have been given new music. However, the father of Rihanna’s two young children is temporarily taking a break from Daddy-duties as he releases and promotes his latest single ‘Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n).’

This latest track from Rocky is the second solo single he has released this year. Although the rapper has been seen at public events such as Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris, the Harlem emcee has been MIA concerning music. However, he has evidently decided to hit the studio once again.

The ‘L$D’ musician (real name Rakim Mayers) featured on a song with his longtime collaborator and friend Tyler, The Creator earlier this year called ‘WHARF TALK.’ However, the New York rapper has been busy being a father to his children and, in recent months, has chosen to lay low.

The emcee’s last solo song was the official single was ‘Shittin’ Me’, which was featured on the soundtrack for the video game Need for Speed: Unbound. However, the artist hasn’t released a full-length project since his 2018 Testing LP.

Earlier this year, the artist released a standalone single entitled ‘Same Problems?’ However, there is no evidence that the track was made to feature on any specific project but instead merely to pacify his hungry and eager fans.

Rocky, Pharrell Williams & Ojivolta produced this latest song which will hopefully appear on Mayers’ next project, reportedly titled Don’t Be Dumb. The rapper hasn’t given away too much information about the album yet.

Rocky has lyrically returned more flashy than ever, with lines such as, “I just call designers up, I free ninety-nine it, uh / Called your baby mama up, yep, I nighty-night it / I just bought designer kilts, yeah, I Roddy Pipe it / I just put some BDs on my whip with lime green pipin’,” the rapper seems to be maintaining his pre-fatherhood style.
