6ix9ine sentenced to prison time over probation violations

6ix9ine has been sentenced to three months in prison for violating the terms of his probation.

The judge handed the Brooklyn rapper his sentence on December 5th, ordering him to report to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on January 6th, 2026.

According to Rolling Stone, the judge told him, “From time to time your actions suggest that you believe that ordinary rules don’t apply to you.”

While on supervised release from his racketeering case in 2018, police found cocaine and ecstasy in his home in March. Then, months later, he punched a man at a shopping centre.

Speaking to TMZ after being sentenced, 6ix9ine said the sentence was fair, and the judge was able to hear all of the facts. He believed that he would be held in a secure unit due to his “snitch” status.

He added that he’s never been attacked in prison, while revealing plans to cut his weight down from 190 pounds to 120 pounds.

6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, was seeking six months of house arrest, alleging that officers found a “very small amount” of drugs and that there were no serious injuries from the assault.

Lazzaro claimed that imprisonment would “end up being much more severe, difficult, and even dangerous, when compared to a typical inmate.”

He continued, “Due to Mr Hernandez’ classification, he always serves his jail time segregated and fully isolated from other inmates. As a result, Mr Hernandez is given extremely limited social interaction with other inmates and very little time outside to get fresh air and exercise.”

6ix9ine’s Florida home was invaded in November, which involved his mother being held at gunpoint. Four armed, masked men entered the home with handguns, stealing items and causing damage to the property.
