50 Cent hilariously fires back after Las Vegas shows described as “worst ever”
50 Cent hosted a residency in Las Vegas last week, but popular blogger Vegas Starfish slammed the rapper’s show, calling it “the worst show that’s ever come to Vegas.” The G-Unit boss, who was also mocked for how he moves his hands on stage, responded in typical 50 fashion, making light of the matter while comparing his stage presence to Chris Brown.
“I saw a review on my show,” he said on January 4th. “And they said the audio was bad. I said, ‘Bitch, you was supposed say something like 50 was doing this shit.’ That’s what I’m gonna do. No one said the music was bad. Fuck all that, man. What you thought I was gonna do? Be down here rollerblading? I see Chris Brown was flying in Africa. I don’t have records that require me to fly in Africa.”
Starfish claimed she has watched 50 perform in warehouses in Memphis and that those shows were “pure magic,” but his recent residency was the complete opposite of that experience. “The sound was balanced poorly making it impossible to hear the performance,” she said about his Planet Hollywood concerts on Instagram.
“His hypemen were unrelenting and overbearing making it difficult to hear anything but their echos. The stage design and graphics felt like they were organised 15 minutes before the show with a Chat GPT prompt for ’90’s hip hop images.’”
Starfish said that 50’s publicists promised it would be an unforgettable night full of surprises from the rapper, but the only surprise was his lack of energy. She also criticised the lack of crowd engagement and only performing for an hour before a 15-minute encore.
“This was the worst live performance, for any artist, I’ve ever attended,” she concluded. “I understand that he’s successful and doesn’t need a residency, so why do it if he doesn’t want to put any effort into it?”
The comments from Starfish also prompted 50’s longtime rival, Ja Rule, to mock the ’21 Questions’ rapper over being called the worst performer in the history of Las Vegas. “Not the worst,” he wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) alongside laughing emojis.
