50 Cent suggests that this tour will be his last

One of the icons of the hip-hop world, 50 Cent, looks to be taking his final lap around the globe with his latest tour. The rapper confirmed that this run of shows will be his last in a new interview.

The New York rapper has long been a global heavyweight in the world of hip-hop and has turned down some sensational shows over the years. However, this tour will be his last as the ‘In Da Club’ performer confirmed. The tour coincides with the 20th anniversary of his mega-watt debut album Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.

The 64-date tour is set to kick off in Salt Lake City, Utah, in July and run until September, stopping off in a number of North American cities. However, as the rapper has already sold over 500,000 tickets, he will now look to expand the tour into a global event.

“Because ticket sales are doing so well they’re adding new markets so the UK, North America and possibly Australia will be in there,” 50 said. “I gotta get to Africa. I got a lot of spots I gotta hit before I be done, because this is the Final Lap Tour.”

50 Cent then suggested that this may be his final global tour: “I won’t be running around like this no more. I gotta do my film and television stuff and got a lot of other things going on behind the scenes that I gotta work on, so I won’t be out touring as much as I’ve been touring…I’m having fun this time because it’s set up to enjoy myself, we not feeling pressure.”
