50 Cent announces three-part Hulu docuseries about himself

A three-part 50 Cent documentary series has been announced for Hulu.

50 recently made Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs the subject of an explosive docuseries, but the G-Unit rapper will now be the focus of another doc.

According to Variety, 50 will be stepping in front of the camera for a currently untitled series that details his life story. Over three episodes, the documentary will detail his journey from the streets to becoming the music and business success story that he is today.

Reacting to the announcement, 50 posted a screenshot of the headline, writing in the caption, “Positive vibes. Focus on the win QGTM.” The abbreviation stands for “Queens Get the Money,” referencing the borough in which he grew up in New York City.

Mandon Lovett will direct the series, having previously worked on The French Montana Story: For Khadija. 50 will executive produce the documentary alongside Patrick Altem.

“Through an intimate and revealing lens, the series portrays a figure who has consistently transformed conflict and adversity into enduring cultural impact,” a synopsis reads.

50 previously teased the project on April 1st, alleging Hulu paid $75 million for the documentary to beat Starz, Netflix, and Apple. However, many believed it was an April Fool’s Day joke.

The rapper scored a hit Netflix series late last year with Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which he executive-produced with director Alex Stapleton.

The series investigated the sexual misconduct allegations against Combs, promising to “unpack the shocking allegations behind Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his Bad Boy empire, spanning decades of his life and career.”

It reached a total of 50 million global views in January and was the seventh most-watched show between July 2025 and December 2025, behind the likes of Stranger Things, Wednesday, and Squid Game.
