50 Cent hits back at Jim Jones after online diss
50 Cent has taken aim at former Diplomats member Jim Jones. The pair have been exchanging jabs on social media for a while due to varying recollections of a performance which happened in 2007 but has since become infamous.
The former Diplomats emcee recently sat down with Justin Laboy and dissed 50 Cent and his former crewmate Cam’Ron, who has also spoken about the 2007 concert on his Talk With Flee YouTube show.
As a result of Jim Jones’s recent sitdown, 50 Cent has hit back. On January 8th, Fifty took to Instagram and uploaded a selfie Jim Jones once took alongside Jay-Z, Diddy, Fat Joe, and Remy Ma at the 2017 Roc Nation brunch.
Not only did he post this, but 50 Cent also highlighted Jones’s potential involvement in the Tekashi 6ix9ine racketeering case by sharing a court transcript of a tapped phone call between the Diplomat and Jamel ‘Mel Murda’ Jones, one of 6ix9ine’s co-defendants.
In the transcript, Jim Jones — who was identified as a member of the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods by 6ix9ine — calls for the rainbow-haired hitmaker to “get violated.” He then asserts, “he ain’t a gang member no more.” Exposing his underreported involvement with Tekashi 6ix9ine is also embarrassing for Jones.
Fifty captioned his post: “LOL [grinning face emoji] INDIVIDUAL 1 calling the shots out here, I know you working so please don’t say gangster shit to me INDIVIDUAL 1!”
During his interview with Justin Laboy, Jones also defended his decision to perform with 50 Cent in 2007 at a New York City concert despite the fact that Cam’Ron and the ‘In Da Club’ lyricist were in a feud at the time, stating, “I heard what [50] said, ‘Koch was a graveyard’ and all that type of shit,” he added, referencing 50’s infamous argument with Cam on Hot 97. “I didn’t give a fuck about none of that.
He then went on to reveal that he and Cam’FRon were having their own internal issues at the time, unveiling, “They called me like, ‘Yo, you wanna come out and perform at the show?’ [I replied,] ‘Shit yeah! I got the hottest record. I’m popping out.’ I wasn’t on nobody’s friendship. I was a pirate.” The ‘I’m Ready’ rapper joked, “Them n*ggas [in G-Unit] couldn’t even dress, but he had a platform for me to perform on in front of thousands of people in New York. Yeah, I’m taking that.”
