50 Cent explains how Kanye West and Nicki Minaj “fucked up”
50 Cent has explained why he thinks Kanye West and Nicki Minaj have suffered backlash in the public eye.
The G-Unit rapper is currently promoting his new movie titled Moses the Black ahead of its January 30th release date.
During the West Hollywood premiere this week, 50 took to the stage to praise the film, revealing the project was made for “entertainment” rather than “making it about religion.”
The latter is something he’s tried to stay clear of over the years. “There’s two things they tell you to stay away from,” he told the audience. “They tell you to stay away from religion and stay away from politics, because no matter what you think, someone passionately disagrees with you. I stay away from those things.”
Speaking on Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, “That’s how Kanye fucked up. Then, Nicki said some shit. You know, it feels crazy, but it is very accurate.”
Kanye dived into politics years ago, launching the Birthday Party in his bid to become president of the United States. Ye received around 60,000 votes out of a total of an estimated 160 million in 2020.
More recently, Nicki teamed up with the Trump administration, delivering a speech at the United Nations in New York last year. She collaborated with the White House to spotlight allegations of Christian persecution in Nigeria.
Speaking on Trump, she said, “Young men, you have amazing role models like our handsome, dashing president, and you have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president.”
Moses the Black, which 50 executive produced, is directed by Yelena Popovic and stars Wiz Khalifa, Quavo, Omar Epps, Chukwudi Iwuji, and others.
