50 Cent earns over $100 million on latest tour

Last year, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, ‘In Da Club’ emcee 50 Cent went on what he revealed would be his last tour of all time, the ‘Final Lap’.

However, it has recently been announced that the run of dates was one of the most successful hip-hop tours of all time, managing to gross over $100 million in ticket sales. Statistic gathering company, Tour Data, recently presented figures showing that 50 Cent’s trek accrued over $104,975,322 in ticket sales, with 1,179,753 total tickets sold.

Published on May 15th, Tour Data unveiled that the average ticket price for the Final Lap Tour was $88 per person. So far, only 92 of the 97 shows have turned in their sales figures, so the numbers are still increasing.

It is still unknown whether the ‘Final Lap’ tour figures will manage to surpass Drake’s ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour or Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Big Steppers’ tour. However, it is clear that he has achieved the exceptional feat of managing to gross over $100 million.

These latest statistics are not surprising to many in the industry who knew that, as 50 Cent’s farewell tour, it would sell an unfathomable amount of tickets. The Queens lyricist performed in North America, Europe, Australia and even countries such as Saudi Arabia and The UAE.

The tour included a staggering 103 dates and saw surprise appearances from the likes of Busta Rhymes, Jeremih, Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, as well as surprise one-off appearances from Eminem, J. Cole and even Ed Sheeran.

Busta Rhymes even took to social media shortly after claiming that he lost weight on that tour, writing on Twitter/X, “I’m sexy. I lost 37 pounds on that fuckin’ tour. I wasn’t asking if y’all thought I was sexy or not, I just wanted you muthafuckas to understand I’m sexy, period.”
