50 Cent shares his view on Diddy: “I want to slap him too”
50 Cent has weighed in on the ongoing discourse surrounding Sean Combs – better known as Diddy – who has been accused of multiple instances of sexual assault and abuse. In the most recent update to this ongoing case, a video of Diddy assaulting his then-partner Cassie Ventura back in 2016.
After the video was released to the public, Voletta Wallace, the mother of Diddy’s ex-collaborator The Notorious B.I.G., revealed that she would like to “slap the daylights out of him”. In response, 50 Cent took to X, formerly Twitter, to share, “LOL I WANT TO SLAP THE SHIT OUT OF HIM TOO”.
The post was quickly deleted, but 50 Cent has been firing shots at Diddy for years prior to these sexual assault allegations. Reportedly – and bizarrely – the beef between the two hip-hop stars was said to have first begun after Diddy offered to take 50 Cent out shopping. Now, with the deluge of allegations weighed against Diddy, 50 Cent has rarely missed an opportunity to stick the boot in.
In fact, 50 Cent has gone so far as to sell the rights to a documentary series surrounding the sexual assault case to Netflix. The rapper also shared that proceeds from the docuseries will go towards charities helping the victims of sexual assault and rape, writing on social media, “WTF at some point you gotta just do the right thing”.
His latest comments refer to an interview that Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, gave following the release of the video showing Diddy assaulting Ventura. “I’m sick to my stomach,” she told Rolling Stone, “I’m praying for Cassie. I’m praying for his mother. I don’t want to believe the things that I’ve heard, but I’ve seen [the hotel video]. I pray that he apologises to her”.
She continued, “I hope that I see Sean one day and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. And you can quote me on that. Because I liked him. I didn’t want to believe all the awful things, but I’m so ashamed and embarrassed”.
While 50 Cent’s all-caps post to X might have featured the wrong tone, for a case in which a woman was violently assaulted, it seems that he is in full agreement with Wallace.
