Biggie Smalls’ mother speaks out against Diddy
Since Cassie Ventura filed her sex-trafficking lawsuit against Bad Boy founder Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs, a string of grave allegations have been made against the mogul, and there are now eight active lawsuits against the rapper, who denies all accusations of wrongdoing.
Bad Boy was the making of Diddy, and one of his biggest stars and arguably his biggest money-maker was the late legend Biggie Smalls, who, in 1994, released the East Coast classic Ready To Die.
However, the late emcee’s mother has now spoken out against Combs, who was once a close friend of her son. Expressing her disgust, Voletta Wallace has professed that she is in shock and hopes Diddy apologises to his mother.
Speaking to music publication Rolling Stone about the CCTV footage which recently emerged that shows Combs attack Ventura, Wallace admitted that she is currently so angry she wants to “slap the daylights out of him”. The responses to the video came in droves, all of them negative. However, this response from Biggie Smalls’ mother is the most impactful and scathing.
Opening up about her feelings about the lawsuits and allegations Diddy now faces, Wallace told the magazine, “I’m sick to my stomach. I’m praying for Cassie. I’m praying for his mother. I don’t want to believe the things that I’ve heard, but I’ve seen [the hotel video]. I pray that he apologizes to her.”
She continued, “I hope that I see Sean one day, and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. And you can quote me on that, because I liked him. I didn’t want to believe all the awful things, but I’m so ashamed and embarrassed.”
After footage of the video emerged, Combs apologised for his actions, claiming he accepts “full responsibility” for the attack after it was viewed by millions. “I was disgusted when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he says in the video. The rapper also described the period as “the darkest times” in his life.
Diddy continued: “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f—ed up. I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behaviour on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.”
As the man who shot her son to fame and made him a worldwide superstar, Voletta Wallace was incredibly close to Diddy and previously saw him in a good light. However, since the allegations about Combs’ behaviour behind closed doors, she is now more than happy to distance herself from him.
Combs continues to deny any wrongdoing.
