50 Cent announces new album ‘The Algorithm’
50 Cent has announced his return with a new album titled The Algorithm.
The G-Unit rapper hasn’t released an album in over a decade, but he appears to be working on a new project.
Last week, 50 took to Instagram with several posts referencing The Algorithm, while also previewing a new song produced by Hit-Boy.
“Music untitled,” he wrote. I’d Fvck these [ninjas] up if they jump me in real life. a bunch of punks. THE ALGORITHM is coming! (HITBOY) on the beat 20 years ago.”
50 has been ramping up the promo for his new album by mentioning The Algorithm in many of his social media posts. “I asked Chat GPT who better than me it said nobody, so I’m gonna run with that I’m the algorithm,” he explained in one post.
He also said, “I am the algorithm anyone who chooses to go against the grain will suffer,” and “I am the algorithm I predict a storm will hit, no one will ever forget.” In another post, he wrote, “Everybody dies one day, THE ALGORITHM coming soon!”
50 has been active on his YouTube channel in recent weeks. Earlier this month, he dropped ‘No More Tricks, No More Tries’ as a collaboration with Max B. He also shared ‘No One Told Me‘ featuring Leon Thomas, which serves as the theme song for his upcoming Power: Origins series.
During an interview last month, 50 revealed that he was planning to release new music again.
“Look, I’m going to make music,” he told Rolling Stone. “I’m excited that this is the feeling. The general consensus is they want to hear something new from me, right? You can have the best verse, but I don’t think you should have the best verse at 50 years old.”
He added, “I think hip-hop is connected to youth culture, and I think simplicity is a part of why it’s the best music.”
