22-year-old sentenced to life in prison over Swedish rapper’s murder

A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a popular Swedish rapper.

23-year-old Gaboro (real name Ninos Khouri) was shot and killed in a car park in Norrköping, Sweden, in December 2024.

According to the Sweden Herald, the man responsible for the shooting was sentenced to life behind bars on May 22nd.

He was also convicted of attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences following a shooting at a property in December 2024.

In addition, a 30-year-old man who was charged with being an accessory to murder was acquitted. He was accused of borrowing a car and driving the perpetrator to a hiding place after the crime.

Gaboro was found injured at the scene of the crime and later died in the hospital. A video of the killing surfaced on social media, appearing to show the shooter wearing a camera and capturing himself holding a gun.

In a statement at the time of the incident, Swedish police officers described it as a “murder” and revealed details of a car that could be connected to the suspect.

“A man in his 20s died from his injuries after a shooting near a parking garage in Norrköping,” the statement read. “The police are still working very intensively on the case, which is classified as murder.”

They continued, “The police are seeking witness information about a car that may be relevant to the case. It is a silver-coloured station wagon.”

Despite his death two years ago, Gaboro still has over 238,000 monthly Spotify listeners, with songs like ‘Suavemente’ boasting 16 million streams. ‘Heaven and Hell’, ‘Browski’, and ‘Bogota’ also have 11 million streams each.
