21 Savage sued for fraud and breach of contract

21 Savage has been accused of keeping a $150,000 deposit for a European tour that never went ahead.

The Atlanta rapper was allegedly set to perform 10 shows across Europe between August 2019 and December 2019, including a date in London.

According to AllHipHop, Dutch company J Noah BV filed a civil complaint in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania this week. They accused Savage, Slaughter Gang, and others of fraud, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and breach of fiduciary duty.

J Noah claims they sent a $150,000 payment on March 20th, 2019, after receiving an invoice from Savage’s representatives, Girls Do It Better LLC, his manager Kei Henderson, and YB Talent Agency.

The suit alleges that the money was supposed to be held in escrow until the tour paperwork had been completed. If the deal fell apart, they claim it was agreed to be refunded.

Savage allegedly wasn’t able to perform the dates due to his inability to secure a valid passport. The company claim they agreed to pause the plans until his immigration issues were solved, with the refund requirement put on hold.

From there, they accuse the rapper’s team of offering “one excuse after another” about the passport, refusing to go on tour or refund the money.

After Savage allegedly secured his passport and booked a European tour with a different promoter, J Noah claimed it was a material breach.

A notice was allegedly sent to Savage and his team in October 2023, demanding a refund within five days. The company say there have been promises to pay the balance in $10,000 monthly instalments, but they’ve yet to receive anything.

Savage was arrested by US immigration officials in February 2019, revealing he was actually from the UK, not Atlanta.
