Yung Joc apologises to Megan Thee Stallion

Atlanta rapper Yung Joc has apologised to Megan Thee Stallion on his radio show Streetz Morning Takeover after he expressed his doubts about Megan’s claims that Tory Lanez shot her in the foot in 2020.

The Houston emcee (real name Megan Pete) was castigated during her lengthy legal battle with Tory Lanez and many past judgments on her, accusing her of lying or exaggerating the actual scale of the incident.

In August last year, Tory Lanez was officially sentenced to ten years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020 by a Los Angeles federal judge. In 2020, Pete and Tory were dating. However, after a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills mansion, the pair got into a drunken disagreement, and gunshots were heard throughout the neighbourhood.

This led to three years of legal hearings accompanied by social media spats and sneaky disses in their music. However, after seeing all the evidence, it was clear that the Canadian vocalist was guilty, and he was put behind bars.

Although figures such as Nicki Minaj have mocked Pete about the incident in their music with tracks such as ‘Big Foot’, others called her a liar and a fraud. Yung Joc was one of these people.

After realising his wrongdoings, Joc recently took to the airwaves to apologise to Pete, stating, “I apologize for not supporting you in your moment and believing in the whole situation with you and Tory Lanez. I still have questions ’cause I’m human.”

At the time of the legal proceedings, Joc told his co-hosts he would shave his head if Lanez went to prison. However, he now regrets making that bet. Opening up about it he told Pete over the radio, “I think that the moment when I made the bet. Although we did it in a fun kinda way–maybe, just maybe, I was out of line for doing that.”
