YSL lawyer accused of smuggling drugs into prison

Young Thug was released from prison in October after accepting a plea deal in his YSL RICO case. He was sentenced to time served and 15 years of probation. Now, a lawyer representing one of the defendants in the case is facing charges.

On July 21st, Nicole Fegan was accused of meth trafficking and marijuana possession, smuggling items to inmates, and violating Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

Fegan’s client was a man named Tenquarius Mender. Along with Brittany Parks, she’s accused of sneaking items to Mender in Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail in March and April 2023, allegedly bringing him methamphetamine, oxycodone, weed, and $1,150 in cash. The indictment claims she also brought him AirPods.

According to WRDW, Mender was charged with participating in criminal street gang activity and possession of a weapon by an incarcerated individual. He accepted a plea deal in January and was sentenced to ten years, with two to be spent behind bars.

Thug was charged with racketeering, gang, gun, and drug charges. Following his verdict in the trial, he admitted to his crimes and apologised to his family and friends, asking for forgiveness.

“I take full responsibility for my crimes or charges,” he said in the courtroom. “I want to say sorry to my family, my mum, my managers, my kids and everyone involved. I am a smart guy with a good heart, but I found myself in trouble because I was too nice or cool. I hope you allow me to go home today and trust me to do the right thing. I promise I won’t be in this situation again. I’ve learned from my mistakes.

“I come from nothing and made something, but I didn’t take full advantage of it. I’m sorry for the extra time everyone had to put in. I know what I bring to the table and the impact I have on people. I’ve learned a lot in the past two or three years, and I understand what I mean to this world. I am a good guy and have done a lot for my community.”
