Young Thug calls Kid Cudi a “rat” over Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs testimony

Young Thug has accused Kid Cudi of snitching for his testimony in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering case. Cudi was called to the stand to discuss his relationship with Cassie and the allegation that Combs blew up his car.

Thug was following the trial and took to X to share his thoughts on Cudi testifying. In a since-deleted post, he wrote, “Dam cudi a rat lol.”

The same lawyer who worked with Thug in his YSL RICO case, Brian Steel, is on Combs’ defence team. Douglas Weinstein, who represented Thug’s co-defendant, Yak Gotti, recently told Rolling Stone, “Brian is a legend, especially after YSL. His insights, tenacity and character will be a phenomenal addition to Mr Combs’ team.”

He continued, “I saw it in person during the YSL trial. I wish I could be a fly on the wall with whatever happens. He’s a legend in Georgia. I think his humanity coupled with his integrity is necessary in the Combs case. He is a genuine person. If you spend any degree of time with him, you know it’s totally real.”

Thugger has collaborated with Cudi in the past. They first teamed up on ‘Moon Man’ from the Young Stoner Life compilation Slime Language 2, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart in 2021.

That same year, they both featured on Kanye West’s ‘Remote Control’ from his Donda album. Then, in 2024, Thug appeared on Cudi’s Insano project on the song ‘Rager Boyz’.

Thug previously called someone a rat on his ‘Money on Money’ song in April, with many suggesting he was talking about Gunna.

He raps in the song, “These fuck n*ggas tellin’ for nothin’, and I gotta be the one callin’ ‘em friends.” He later spits, “Brother, you a rat (My brother),” followed by, “Twin, you a rat, you smoked, uh.”
