Young Thug responds to interrogation audio leak amid snitching allegations
An audio clip of Young Thug being interrogated recently leaked. The Atlanta rapper came across the leak and responded after appearing to name-drop people relating to his YSL RICO trial.
In the two-hour audio, Thug mentions various names, including Peewee Roscoe, who was accused of shooting at Lil Wayne’s tour bus in 2015.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on August 27th, Thug denied snitching on anyone. “They didn’t play my interrogation video in court cause I helped my brada #Ratwhere?” he wrote.
In the interrogation clip, Thug says, “They said Roscoe, but I don’t wanna block out y’all’s case by saying Roscoe ain’t do that.”
However, following Thug’s comments, Roscoe posted a video to social media, stating the YSL boss hadn’t done anything wrong.
“Jeff clean as Listerine, man,” he said in the clip. “Clean as Ivory soap, ya feel me? When you go into the interrogation room, that’s what you do.” Roscoe added that Thug “kept it silent” and “kept it overly real.”
Thug was released from jail in October 2024 after accepting a plea deal in his RICO case. He was sentenced to time served and 15 years of probation.
“I take full responsibility for my crimes or charges,” he said in court. “I want to say sorry to my family, my mum, my managers, my kids and everyone involved. I am a smart guy with a good heart, but I found myself in trouble because I was too nice or cool.”
He added, “I hope you allow me to go home today and trust me to do the right thing. I promise I won’t be in this situation again. I’ve learned from my mistakes.”
