Young Thug apologises to GloRilla for calling her “ugly as fuck”
Young Thug has apologised to GloRilla following remarks made during a leaked jail call. The Atlanta rapper called her “ugly as fuck” while speaking to his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist.
Taking to X on September 4th, Thug blamed his words on the situation he was going through with the YSL RICO trial.
“@GloTheofficial first of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all,” he wrote. “I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life.. I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin.”
In his assessment of GloRilla, Thug spoke on her appearance, making negative comments about her hair and the size of her head .
“That bitch ugly as fuck,” he said. “They say she ain’t ugly, man, that bitch ain’t nothing. Long ass bullshit ass wig, skinny shit, goddamn big ass head, big mouth. I would not pursue her, like at all. That shit ain’t nothing.”
Although she didn’t mention Thug specifically, GloRilla appeared to respond in an X post that claimed he once showed romantic interest in her.
In her post, she wrote, “Mind you dis da same n*gga blowing my phone up to ask what colour my eyes is lmaooo.”
The leaked call dates back to when Thug was behind bars in his RICO case, which ended with him being released in October 2024 after accepting a plea deal. He was sentenced to time served and 15 years of probation.
“I take full responsibility for my crimes or charges,” he said after his release. “I want to say sorry to my family, my mum, my managers, my kids and everyone involved. I am a smart guy with a good heart, but I found myself in trouble because I was too nice or cool.”
He added, “I hope you allow me to go home today and trust me to do the right thing. I promise I won’t be in this situation again. I’ve learned from my mistakes.”
