Young Thug slams Kendrick Lamar in leaked jail call

Young Thug has called out Kendrick Lamar in a leaked jail conversation. In the audio that surfaced online, the Atlanta rapper revealed his frustration with K. Dot over his refusal to collaborate with Atlanta rappers.

Thugger vented after claiming Kendrick turned down a collaboration on his 2023 album, Business Is Business. He alleged Lil Durk and Lil Baby were also shut down by the Compton rapper.

“Why wouldn’t you wanna do a feature for a superstar?” he said in the call. “You really got Lil Durk calling you for a song, Lil Baby, Thug, real superstars calling you for a song. Why wouldn’t you do the song? We lit, n*gga. We going number one, too.”

He then brought up his frequent collaborator, Drake, claiming the Toronto rapper is a better person than Kendrick following their beef.

“You ’posed to be a n*gga who bless a n*gga,” he said. “That’s why them n*ggas would never be bigger than Drake, ever in life,” he said. “You know how many n*ggas lives Drake changed? You know how many n*ggas can take care of their family cause of [Drake]?”

He added, “[Kendrick] ain’t really helped nobody, n*ggas ain’t gaining fans of you. [Baby] Keem ain’t big, Keem lil as hell.”

Kendrick mentioned Thug while dissing Drake on ‘Not Like Us‘ last year. In the third verse, K. Dot accused Drizzy of using various Atlanta rappers. “Thug made you feel like you a slime in your head,” he raps in the song.

Thug previously addressed the song during an interview with GQ, pledging his allegiance to Drake. “Yeah, [Kendrick] just spoke on people’s name in Atlanta,” he said. “I don’t know what that was about. I’m a Drake fan.”
