Wu-Tang Clan reveals plans for ‘Wu-Tang Forever’ 25th-anniversary collection

Wu-Tang Clan’s second album, Wu-Tang Forever, turns 25 this June, and the band plan to celebrate in style.

The legendary hip hop collective plan to honour the occasion by releasing a special anniversary collection through Get On Down and Legacy Recordings. It includes a 4xLP vinyl reissue of Wu-Tang Forever with a lyric booklet and a silver-coloured 7-inch single of ‘Triumph’ with ‘Heaterz’ as the B-side.

Additionally, there is also a reissue of the double cassette in a slipcase. The release is available to pre-order now and costs $85.45. If you don’t want to buy the pricey collection, it is possible to individually purchase the items you desire.

Wu-Tang hope to ship the bundle and standalone cassettes in late July, while the vinyl is expected to be ready in late June.

Meanwhile, Raekwon revealed plans for a potential biopic about the band by Leonardo Di Caprio ended after RZA turned down the project because he wanted it to be a serialised project instead of a film.

He explained: “I could tell he wasn’t going to agree to do it, and my instincts told me why: my guess is that he was already in bed with a production company, deep into developing the scripted series for TV, even though none of us had signed off on it.”
