The new trailer for Kid Cudi’s forthcoming Netflix creation Entergalactic has dropped. It also stars Jessica Williams.
Entergalactic tells the story of a young artist named Jabari (Cudi) as he explores the streets of New York and experiences, love, success and much more. Directed by Fletcher Moules, the new series will also be written by the How to Make it in America screenwriter Ian Edelman, as well as Maurice Williams. It arrives on Netflix on September 30th, and is based on an upcoming album of the same name by the rapper.
Additionally, Timothée Chalamet, Ty Dolla $ign, Teyana Taylor, 070 Shake, Vanessa Hudgens, Macaulay Culkin, and Jaden Smith will all also be lending their voice to Cudi’s new Netflix project.
In a recent interview with Esquire, Williams praised her co-star Cudi’s vulnerability which helped them tell the love story which runs through Entergalactic.“It’s important to expand the way we perceive Black men and the way we perceive rappers as well,” she said. “Scott has always been ahead of that. The way he’s always wearing a dress, painting his nails, or singing about all the shit he’s been through. He creates room for more Black men and people of color to be themselves the way they want.”
Meanwhile, Chalamet said: “I think he has inspired other artists to be more vulnerable. There’s something just so raw and authentic about Cudi that just speaks to your heart.”
