One of the most iconic hip hop groups of all time, the legend of Wu-Tang Clan still reverberates around popular culture to this day. Their brash sound and searing creativity has left a mark on the industry that few will forget. For most, that’s a good thing.

Those fans can indulge a little further with the latest instalment of the group’s Hulu series Wu-Tang: An American Saga, which has just been announced by the streaming platform. The new season will land on September 8, and there’s a brand new trailer to keep the anticipation high.

Joey Bada$$ is a casualty from the first season as the rapper has been replaced in the role of Inspectah Deck. Dave East, who took charge of Method Man, will, however, reprise his role.

The show’s first season saw the narrative focus on the group’s formation and how the first seeds were sown. This season will offer Wu-Tang as they approach the release of their first album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The record has gone down in history as one of the greatest debut albums of all time.

It’s been an interesting few weeks for Wu-Tang Clan. The hip hop legends’ unique album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin was the centre of a huge story as the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York sold the sole copy of the record.

The album was originally bought by the pharmaceutical price-hiker Martin Shkreli but, after his imprisonment, has now been sold at auction to pay off his outstanding $7.36 million judgement.
