Watch Nas perform at Grammys 2022

Last night, Nas took to the stage at the Grammys to perform a career-spanning set.

In 2021, Nas won ‘Best Rap Album’ at the ceremony for his collaboration with Hit-Boy, but he didn’t have the same luck this time around. This year, he was nominated once again, yet, it went to Tyler, the Creator for Call Me If You Get Lost.

Additionally, Nas was nominated for ‘Best Rap Song’ for ‘Bath Salts’, which features the late DMX, and Jay-Z. However, that award went to Kanye West and Jay-Z’s ‘Jail’.

Although he didn’t get to take home any awards, his performance was a victory lap as he played a medley that included ‘I Can’, ‘Made You Look’, ‘One Mic’, and ‘Rare’. He was also accompanied by a full band at the ceremony.

Meanwhile, on May 1st, Nas will be teaming up with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the Walt Disney Concert Hall to perform Illmatic in full.

This forthcoming show won’t be the first time that Nas has played the album in its entirety with an orchestra, as he previously teamed up with the National Symphony Orchestra in 2014 to deliver a rendition of his opus.
