This year’s performance shaping up to be unmissable, thanks to appearances from Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Now, the event has shared it’s first preview of the landmark show.

The SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, will be home to the showstopping event on Sunday, February 13, 2022. These five icons have never performed together at the same time before, but the supergroup will be making their debut at the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, and it’s hard not to be frothing at the mouth in excitement already.

Dre cryptically teased the event, saying, “I’m extremely excited to share the stage with my friends for the #PepsiHalftime Show. This will introduce the next saga of my career… Bigger and Better than Ever!!!”
Eminem got in on the act, posting, “Dre day in February? I’m there! #PepsiHalftime Show.”

“Artists like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were at the forefront of the West Coast hip hop revolution, so to be able to bring them back to LA, where it all began alongside Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will prove to be an epic, unforgettable celebration of the impact hip hop has today,” said Todd Kaplan, Pepsi’s VP of marketing.

He added: “The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show has become a landmark cultural moment, bringing about some of the most iconic performances over the years – from JLo and Shakira to Lady Gaga to The Weeknd – and we are thrilled to bring together such an incredible array of talented, record-breaking musicians to put on a performance for the ages.”

But now, we have a brand new preview of the show and it sees the icons all in familiar territory receiving ‘the call’ to come and perform. The clip was directed by F. Gary Gray who said of the project: “Each time I collaborate with Dre, it seems to mark an important moment in entertainment history, from projects like Friday, Set It Off, Straight Outta Compton, to now the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI halftime show,” Gray noted in a statement.

“As a super fan, I consider it an honour and privilege to authentically build and create this moment with five of the most legendary artists in music history. It’s been a blast!” You can watch the full preview below.
