In an interview with media outlet Amoeba, viewers found after a shop what was in Ice Cube’s bag, and he had a little bit of everything. Ice Cube is known primarily as the frontman of N.W.A and for being the legend behind the Barbershop movie series. However, in this interview, we found out some very interesting things not only about the rapper but also about his wife.
The first thing that the rapper (real name O’Shea Jackson) had in his bag was a 12″ vinyl of the Erykah Badu album New Amerykah Part Two. According to the rapper, he had bought it for his wife, who, according to Cube, is a massive fan of the singer. Jackson then went on to admit that he is not a fan of the digital format and much prefers vinyl calling it “the coolest format”.
The next thing the rapper pulled out his bag was a lunchbox for his wife, depicting various characters from the 1950s sitcom I Love Lucy. Again a present for his wife, who loves the program. Elaborating on how people call Seinfeld the best sitcom, the rapper boldly declared, “I Love Lucy kills all that sh*t”.
The next thing that was in the rapper’s bag was another vinyl for his wife. However, this time it was Beyoncé’s Lemonade. He divulged how his wife loved it and revealed how she thought “thought it was dope and thought it was boss how Beyoncé just dropped it without the label really fcking with it”.
Another record he pulled out of the bag was Erykah Badu’s 1997 debut album Baduizm. Cube even declared his love for the album stating, “I’ma fan of this one, I love this record…I love most Erykah Badu records they all good”.
Jackson then proceeded to reveal an Aretha Franklin 1960s vinyl boxset, declaring, “There’s no explanation for this, y’all know I got this, she is the queen, she is one of the best who ever did it.
