Doja Cat has unveiled her heroic visuals for her latest single, ‘Get Into It (Yuh)’.
The video aligns with the spacecraft theme, which has become a critical part of Doja’s character, and additionally, there is no expense spared in the special effects budget.
We see Doja fight off a herd of aliens who send her a hostile message and kidnap a cat called Starscream. The singer then makes it her prerogative to save the feline creature by dodging laser beams like she’s in The Matrix before unleashing her devastating finishing move.
‘Get Into It (Yuh)’ is the latest track to be given the visual treatment from her smash hit album, Planet Her.
The record was so successful that towards the end of 2021, Doja Cat’s monthly listener count on Spotify briefly overtook Drake and made her the most popular rapper on the platform.
Meanwhile, she also revealed her plans to be pickier when it comes to collaboration in the future. “I have been trying to be more careful about who I’m collaborating with,” she said in a conversation with ExtraTV. “Not to say that the people on my album are—they’re incredible. They are the perfect features on my album,” she added.
“But I do want to be more choosy about what I’m doing because I feel like a lot of features are coming out. It feels like people are just getting on each other’s songs for the sake of having them on each other’s songs.”
“I want to be really careful about that,” she continued. “Sometimes it’s too much collabs and remixes and things like that.”
