Watch Cardi B’s new ‘Hot Shit’ video with Kanye West and Lil Durk

Cover your eyes Nicki Minaj, Cardi B has revealed the space-age almost Final Fantasy themed music video for her latest single ‘Hot Shit’ featuring Kanye West and Lil Durk. 

The track is her first outing since 2021’s ‘Bet It’ as she makes her return from childbirth with a star-studded track and clearly a video which spared no expenses. 

For the video, the creative reins were thrown over to director Lado Kvataniya known for his work on Russian movies like Kazn which was released last year. 

The track, however, seems to have upset Nicki Minaj even further as the ‘Super Bass’ artist seemed to take a scathing swipe at Kanye West during her appearance at Essence Music Festival in New Orleans last weekend over his involvement in the track. 

During the set, Minaj launched into a medley of all her guest verses from her early career. When the moment came for her to recite her contribution to West’s 2010 track ‘Monster’, Minaj commented, “We don’t fuck with clowns,” and skipped over the verse. 

Much of the fan speculation has suggested that she skipped the verse owing to West’s very recent collaboration with Cardi B with him Minaj has an ongoing feud. Thus, maybe West was merely collateral damage. 

With that hatchet not set to be buried any time soon, Cardi B has simply carried on making records and it would seem that there is more to come soon from the ‘Hot Shit’ star.
