Wale announces new album ‘Everything Is a Lot’ after four years
Wale has announced he’ll be returning with his new album, Everything Is a Lot. The project will be his first in four years following Folarin II.
Everything Is a Lot is set to be released on November 14th via Wale Music and Def Jam Recordings, after parting ways with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group and Warner Records.
The album will comprise of 16 tracks from the DMV rapper, including the new single, ‘Mirroronnabenz’, which was released on October 15th.
Wale told Billboard that the goal for the album was “to express a certain level of vulnerability,” adding, “One of the underlying things is how heavy everything is in the world around me, my personal life, and the industry. I carried all of that with me and got it out of my system through this project.”
Taking to Instagram, he wrote, “4 years of self reflecting. Letting go of what I can’t change. Watching the industry become unrecognizable in real time…. people forgetting about me. Trying to find purpose in a thankless industry . New n*ggas actin like I’m a new n*gga. (U lot are crazy for that shit ngl).”
He continued, “Changing labels. Changing management. Finding love but scared to scar from it. When panic meets uncertainty under a sensitive microscope….The highs the lows.. The most uncertain moments of my career are ahead of me. Im ready for what ever tho. everything is alot Nov 14.”
Everything Is a Lot will serve as Wale’s eighth studio album. It will also include the singles ‘Where to Start’ and ‘Blanco’.
