Vic Mensa arrested on charges of drug possession

Vic Mensa has been arrested after allegedly being found in possession of hallucinogenic drugs.

On Saturday evening, Mensa was detained at Dulles International Airport in Fairfax, Virginia and allegedly had mushrooms, psilocybin, and LSD on his person. He had just returned from Ghana with fellow Chicago native Chance The Rapper.

After flying back into the country, he was pulled aside by U.S. Customs Agents for a secondary search upon his arrival.

They later found within his luggage 41 grams of LSD, 124 grams of psilocybin capsules, 178 grams of psilocybin gummies, and six grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

It has since been confirmed to Consequence by The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority that Mensa “was arrested on four felony charges related to possession of a controlled substance”.

They also revealed he’d been transferred to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. Chicago native, Mensa, is yet to comment on the charges.

Meanwhile, following his close friend Virgil Abloh’s death last year, Mensa paid tribute and celebrated their friendship with the new track, ‘What You Taught Us’. “Virgil Abloh is synonymous with visionary,” Mensa said in a statement.

He continued, “To see him go from DJing Superfun parties in Chicago that Hollywood Holt would sneak me in when I was 16 to revolutionising the way we think about design and its applications is a true inspiration to a generation that was blessed to be raised under his tutelage. Legends never die.”
