Tyler, The Creator lists his favourite songs of 2022

Tyler, The Creator has finally gotten around to his end of year list and rattled off his favourite songs of 2022.  This has become somewhat of a festive tradition for the quirky hip hop star and once more it makes for interesting viewing.

As ever, his love for Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar remains as strong as ever. However, with plenty of other fresh cuts in the list, Tyler’s choices illuminate just how strong 2022 has been for hip hop.

In a very straightforward Tweet, the rapper declared: “FAVS: sweet enoughs in mind/ charles stepney around the house/ pusha neck n wrist/ sol set pour le moment/ dina ogon tombola 94/ steve lacy buttons/ P 21 T cash in cash out/ kenny worldwide steppy/ la verne washington i found what/ pearl n oysters candy/ kenny savior: 2022.”

Tyler is not the only rapper indulging in wrap-ups, earlier in the month, Jay-Z himself provided his ‘Year End Picks’ with 41-tracks including Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Just Wanna Rock’, Futur;s ‘Wait For U’, and Cardi B’s ‘Tomorrow 2’.

We, for one, are very thankful for this insight. So, when it comes to Tyler’s picks, we’ve popped them into a playlist for your enjoyment. You can find the full list and playlist below.
