Tyler, The Creator admits he almost passed out after A$AP Rocky was found not guilty
Tyler, The Creator has revealed his reaction to A$AP Rocky being found not guilty of shooting his former friend, A$AP Relli. During one of his six concerts at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the Odd Future rapper claimed he almost passed out when he discovered the news.
Speaking to his fans, Tyler told them to be mindful of who they keep in their circles, claiming jealous people will attempt to break you down.
“I almost passed out,” he said. “They read the verdict; my brother Rocky is not in cages. That’s a testament to watch who y’all keep around you. ’Cause n*ggas be jealous, bum-ass, loser-ass, bitch-ass n*ggas that want to tear you down. I’m so grateful for my motherfuckin’ brothers. I done had the same friends for almost motherfuckin’ 20 years. I love y’all n*ggas so much.”
He continued, “I know I say it in 80 songs. But when I tell n*ggas don’t call me ‘brother,’ don’t call me ‘twin,’ don’t call me ‘king.’ I’m not friends with these n*ggas because they weird and they wanna see you down. So shout out to my motherfuckin’ brothers that’s here. I love y’all to death. Shout out Rocky. I love you, n*gga. My n*gga free. Yessir.”
Rocky was acquitted of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm on February 18th. “Thank y’all for saving my life,” he told the jurors in the courtroom. If found guilty, Rocky could have faced 24 years in prison.
Tyler and Rocky have formed a close friendship, collaborating on songs such as ‘Who Dat Boy’, ‘Potato Salad’, ‘Wharf Talk’, ‘Telephone Calls’, ‘T.D.’ and ‘Lost and Found Freestyle’. A joint project between them titled WANG$AP was announced in A$AP Mob’s 2018 AWGE DVD, but Tyler quickly shut down any hopes of an album.
“I wish Rocky would shut the fuck up and stop always saying what he’s working on 40 years before it’s even a fleshed out idea,” he wrote on Twitter (now known as X). “With that said, again, don’t get your hopes up and be ‘disappointed’ because something that doesn’t really exist didn’t come out. That shit don’t exist yall =).”
