Two St Louis rappers murdered in the space of four days

Two rappers from St Louis, Missouri, have been shot and killed within four days of each other.

On March 4th, 20-year-old Abdule Campbell was murdered on Arsenal Street, with CCTV footage showing gunfire in an alley.

Just four days earlier, on February 28th, another rapper named J4 died on South 13th Street from gunshot wounds.

According to FOX 2, Campbell pulled into the parking lot of an apartment building in the 6600 block of Arsenal. Just 20 seconds after arriving, shots were fired, with two people firing bullets at him.

Witnesses allege that Campbell was in a car with his girlfriend and was killed inside the vehicle.

Where the incident took place, a windshield was broken, bullet holes were found in a building, and a window was taped up after being smashed. Five shell casings were also found on top of a car.

The publication claims that speculation online suggests that the shooting could be retaliation for another shooting that Campbell didn’t commit.

An alleged public dispute was revealed following J4’s death, after the 19-year-old knocked on a door and a man came out shooting, ultimately killing him. The man responsible for his murder escaped charges due to his actions being deemed self-defence.

Founder of the nonprofit Breaking Generational Poverty, Precious Jones, said, “We may see a lot of bodies dropping just from this. They take it from social media, and they take it to the streets. In reality, that is not the way to go. Obviously, we are losing too many of our youth.”

She added, “Neither one of the young men deserved to die. It’s not OK. Walk away. Somebody has to be the peacemaker.”
