Two men arrested at Kanye West concert in the Netherlands

Two people were reportedly arrested at a Kanye West show in Arnhem over the weekend.

Ye performed at the 40,000-capacity GelreDome on June 6th, making his first show in the Netherlands since 2013.

According to the NL Times, two men were arrested on suspicion of disturbing public order, with authorities stating that they weren’t demonstrators.

In addition to the arrests, three people were removed for carrying signs promoting conspiracy theories about the Holocaust. However, they were allowed to return to the venue after being told to keep their distance.

Demonstrators reportedly stood outside the stadium until around 8pm, holding banners about the rapper’s antisemitic comments over the years.

Many fans were delayed entrance to stadium due to large crowds forming, with the show starting before everyone was inside.

The show saw Kanye perform 35 songs, including ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’, ‘Blood on the Leaves’, ‘Power’, ‘Jesus Walks’, ‘Through the Wire’, ‘Gold Digger’, ‘All of the Lights’, and many others from his catalogue.

He’s set to return to the GelreDome once again on June 8th, on the day of his 49th birthday. His recent shows come after the release of his latest album, Bully, on March 28th, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart.

Ahead of his visit to the Netherlands, Arnhem Mayor Ahmed Marcouch invited Ye to visit the National Holocaust Museum with the chief rabbi.

However, a spokesperson for the Jewish Cultural Quarter and the National Holocaust Museum said they wouldn’t cooperate with the visit. “This has an unwanted impact on other visitors and also raises concerns about the integrity of this place of remembrance,” they said in a statement about a potential visit.
