Unreleased Tupac Shakur music on sale for $250,000
A series of unreleased Tupac Shakur music has been listed for sale on the online auction site, Moments in Time. Photos show the purchase includes handwritten lyrics and a cassette boasting three songs: ‘Leave Us Kidz Alone’, ‘Streetz Got Ya Babies’, and ‘Bedtime Storiez’.
The listing is described as “Unknown Tupac Songs and Recordings,” with TMZ reporting the lyrics and recordings are available for $250,000. The successful buyer will only get the lyrics and recordings, not the rights to reproduce or profit from them.
As the listing explains, “In late 1990/early 1991 Tupac composed and recorded an unreleased album for a group called Jesse and the Kidz. It was never released due to the tragic death of one of the band members.”
The listing continues, “Not only are the lyrics totally unknown – the recordings of three of the album’s songs with Tupac in the lead are as well. This is an extraordinary discovery. Momentsintime.com is offering this remarkable treasure for private sale.”
Tupac memorabilia is often put up for auction. In February 2024, there was a listing for handwritten lyrics for a Black Panthers-inspired song. The sheet included rhymes for the 1995 track called ‘Throw Ya Handz Up’, listed by Iconic Auctions. It appeared in “one of Tupac’s famed lyric books” and showcased 16 lines of lyrics used for the song.
“The song is one of ‘Pac’s finest protest songs and wasn’t released until 1995 on the Pump Ya Fist inspired by the Black Panthers album,” the listing read. “The page exhibits rough edges from being removed from the notebook and some handling wear, as expected. In overall very good condition.”
Tupac died on September 13th, 1996, after being shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Paradise, Nevada, on September 7th, 1996. Duane ‘Keefe D’ Davis was arrested and charged with his death in September 2023 before pleading not guilty in November 2023. The murder trial was recently pushed back to February 9th, 2026.
