Trippie Redd escapes prosecution over 2018 aggravated assault and battery charges

Trippie Redd will not face prosecution over aggravated assault and battery charges made against him in 2018.

The charges relate to an incident where the rapper allegedly hit a woman with a handgun, which it’s claimed that he pointed in her face. However, TMZ has obtained new legal documents from the District Attorney for Fulton Country, which confirm that authorities will not formally prosecute Trippie

Despite no formal proceedings going ahead, Pitchfork has also seen the letter. Intriguingly, the publication notes that the Attorney writes, “It appears that probable cause existed for the defendant’s arrest.”

Meanwhile, Trippie’s Attorney, Drew Findling, told TMZ: “[My] law firm has worked tirelessly for over three years to prove the rapper was innocent of the aggravated assault allegation.”

The rapper’s new album Trip At Knight is set for release this Friday on August 20th. So far, he has released two singles from the album, which have seen him link up with Playboi Carti on ‘Miss The Rage’ and Lil Uzi Vert on ‘Holy Smokes’.
