Travis Scott announces release date for ‘Jackboys 2’

Travis Scott has announced that Jackboys 2, his second collaborative album with Cactus Jack Records, will be released sooner rather than later. The Houston rapper took to social media on July 10th to reveal details about the project.

Scott’s Instagram post confirmed that the new project will be out on July 13th. In the caption, he wrote, “JB2 OUT EVERY WHERE 7 13 SPEAKERS AND SCREAMS AT MAX VOLUME RADIO HOST @bunb.”

La Flame shared the artwork and a poster that read, “The Jack is back with 17 tracks of trunk-rattling classics in the making. Hosted by Bun B of UGK. In stores July 13th at midnight.”

The album is expected to include appearances from 21 Savage, GloRilla, Kodak Black, Vybz Kartel, Waka Flocka Flame, SahBabii, and Tyla.

A new single, ‘2000 Excursion‘, produced by Cardo Got Wings and Johnny Juliano, was released alongside a music video earlier this week. Credited as Jackboys and Travis Scott, the video has received almost four million views on YouTube.

Jackboys consists of Scott, Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, SoFaygo, Wallie and DJ Chase B, who released their first compilation album, Jackboys, in December 2019.

Released on Epic Records, the project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with 154,000 units in its first week. It featured Young Thug, Lil Baby, Quavo, Offset, Pop Smoke, and Rosalía.

‘Out West’ was the highest-charting song from the album, peaking at number 38 on the Hot 100, and has over 821 million streams on Spotify.

Scott released his last solo album, Utopia, in 2023. It topped the Billboard 200 with 252,000 units and featured Drake, Playboi Carti, Beyoncé, SZA, and other big names.
